OUR STORY
Salt & Sugar Café isn’t just a café to us—it’s our family story, shared one plate and one cup at a time. We’re a Lebanese family rooted right here in Ballard, and food has always been how we express love, memory, and belonging.
Our kitchen reflects who we are. Alongside our baked goods and café favorites, we proudly prepare Lebanese dishes you won’t easily find elsewhere—food that carries generations of tradition, simplicity, and soul. These are recipes shaped by home kitchens, not trends, made with intention and deep respect for ingredients.
We also own Green Mountain Harvest, our family brand through which we bring extra-virgin olive oil, zaatar, sumac, and other staples directly from the mountains of Lebanon—where we come from and where our roots still live. These fresh, clean ingredients aren’t just sold on our shelves; they’re used daily in our food, the way they were meant to be used.
Every morning, our space comes alive as we bake, cook, and prepare everything with care. Whether you’re stopping in for a quiet coffee, sharing a meal with friends, or discovering Lebanese flavors for the first time, Salt & Sugar is meant to feel like home.
You’re always welcome at our table—come as you are, stay as long as you like, and enjoy food made with heart.
