OUR STORY
A Family-Owned Lebanese Kitchen in Seattle’s Ballard Neighborhood
Salt & Sugar isn’t just a place to eat—it’s our family story, shared one plate and one cup at a time. We’re a Lebanese family rooted here in Ballard, Seattle, and food has always been how we express love, memory, and belonging.
We created Salt & Sugar as a space that feels welcoming, warm, and personal—like stepping into someone’s home rather than just another place to grab a bite.
Authentic Lebanese Breakfast and Lunch in Seattle
At the heart of our kitchen is a Lebanese breakfast and lunch menu built on tradition. Alongside our fresh baked goods and carefully crafted coffee, we prepare dishes you won’t easily find elsewhere in Seattle.
These are not trend-driven recipes. They are the foods we grew up with—simple, honest, and deeply rooted in Lebanese home cooking. Whether you’re discovering these flavors for the first time or returning to something familiar, our menu reflects who we are and where we come from.
From the Mountains of Lebanon to Our Kitchen in Ballard
We also run Green Mountain Harvest, our family brand through which we source extra-virgin olive oil, zaatar, sumac, and other Lebanese staples directly from the mountains of Lebanon—where our roots still live.
These ingredients are part of everything we do. We use them daily in our cooking, the way they’ve always been used—fresh, clean, and full of character. From our savory dishes to our baked goods, quality begins at the source.
Made Fresh Daily, With Care
Each day, our kitchen comes to life with food prepared from scratch. From Lebanese breakfast and lunch plates to small-batch baked goods, everything is made with intention and care.
Our coffee is crafted with the same attention to detail—meant to complement both sweet and savory, whether you’re stopping in briefly or sitting down for a full meal.
A Space to Gather, Work, and Feel at Home
Salt & Sugar is a place to gather, to slow down, and to connect. Guests join us to share meals, meet friends, work, or simply enjoy a quiet moment.
Whether you’re here for a Lebanese lunch, a relaxed breakfast, or coffee and something sweet, our space is meant to feel like home.
You’re always welcome at our table—come as you are, stay as long as you like, and enjoy food made with heart in the heart of Ballard.
